At Salon Druknya, we specialize in state-of-the-art hair cutting, color, and foiling techniques. We offer a relaxing environment of music, art, and international culture amid Charlottesville’s bustling Downtown Mall, and a variety of styles and services to help you get the look you want.

Call us today at 979-0012 to make an appointment. We also welcome walk-ins, subject to availability. Our business hours are: Tuesdays 10:30-6, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9-7:30, Fridays 9-6, and Saturdays 9-3. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Formerly Carden the Salon, we have served the Charlottesville, Virginia area since 1994. In 2005, Tashi and Gyaltsen Druknya purchased the business from John Carden, who continues as part of Salon Druknya’s team.

“Druknya” is a Tibetan name meaning “on a dragon’s shoulder”. Long ago, it described a village sitting atop a dragon-shaped mountain range in the far northeastern corner of Amdo, Tibet. Over the centuries it came to be a family name. As with Carden before us, putting our name on Salon Druknya reflects our personal commitment to stand behind our work, and to excellence in everything we do.
